Raw local clay, oxidised firing, grid supplied wind power by mother nature. Dry use only.
A coiled and pinched vessel inspired by Bronze Age pottery found in and around the British Isles. Each community of potters created unique decorative patterns on the surfaces of their pots, later called Grooved ware.
The clay is from the stream banks that flowed through my childhood garden under the tresses of a weeping willow. There are a few impurities of the sandstone, naturally occurring in this seam of buttery, umber toned iron bearing clay.
H28 D24 cm
Made to order 12 weeks for neolithic inspired urns , each one will vary in markings and shape and colour due to the natural qualities and locations of the raw clay
