A coiled vessel, embellished with a corrugated ware Indian shard from New Mexico. A chocolate clay body with a cream patch detail.
The coiled layers are contoured and lightly burnished with pebbles. The form was inspired by a bulbous vessel unearthed near the Saraswati river, Indus valley civilisation that existed some 5000 years ago.
The Jat or Yazat tribes, farmers and nomads were mentioned in the Rigveda times, some settled on the banks of this river near the ancient city of Mohenjo Dharo. They say some of these tribes originated from Persia.
