sattyā IS A TRADITONAL INDIAN dress made In a weavers community, kutch, india.

RAW KALA COTTON

hand woven and hand stitched, an unbroken chain of ancient knowledge

a mid length full skirted dress, with narrow, long sleeves in this soft raw cheese cloth like fabric. The fibres are unprocessed and organic so protect the farmers and the regeneration of healthy soil biome. It is soft and lightweight.

KALA IS A COTTON SEED INDIGENOUS TO THE REGION

KUTCH IS LOCATED IN THE the indus valley, that goes back to the stone age, with many historical sites from the pre harrapan culture. It  has retained many of its original artisan traditions that reach back further than we know. Indigo was a common commodity in the indus valley culture and the village which our garments are made are renowned for the beautiful blue vats.

THESE ARE DESIGNED WITH PETIT SHOULDERS AND ARMS SO IF IT WAS A BROADER SHOULDER I COULD RECOMMEND A SIZE UP FROM YOUR BUST. THEY CAN BE WORN LOOSER FIT, WITHOUT LOOKING OVERSIZED
